Warneke Paper Box Company Speeds Ahead with New Speedmaster CD 102 from Heidelberg
Warneke Paper Box Company in Denver, Colo. helps its customers stand out from the crowd with the jobs it produces on its new Heidelberg Speedmaster CD 102 eight-color with coater and full UV capabilities. According to Owner Steve Warneke, since the installation of the Speedmaster CD 102, the shop has increased productivity by 35 percent with quicker make-ready times and faster run speeds. Warneke runs the Speedmaster CD 102 at full speed 50 percent of the time, depending on what kind of board is being used. “The CD 102 has the more automated Preset Plus feeder and delivery, and switches between different substrates quickly,” said Warneke. The all-Heidelberg shop has relied on Heidelberg equipment since it was founded in 1907, including its current six-color and two-color Speedmaster CD 102 presses with coater and six-color Speedmaster CD 74. “All Heidelbergs print perfectly,” Warneke said. “We even have an 18-year-old Heidelberg press that still registers sharp dots.” This specialty printer’s 68 employees produce packaging materials for high-end national clients in the pharmaceutical, medical, food and cosmetic industries. In order to produce high-quality materials, the shop uses foil laminate, foil-type boards and foil stamping boards along with UV and conventional inks and the automatic ink supply system InkLine from Heidelberg.
