PIP Printing Steps up Productivity with QM 46-2 from Heidelberg
Business is good and getting dramatically better, and PIP Printing and Document Services of Ocala, Fla. aims to keep it that way. The two-color business printer recently installed a Heidelberg Printmaster QM 46-2 to handle an increasing volume of two-color business and accommodate a growing number of requests for four-color commercial work. “We needed a more productive press,” says Rich Bierema, president and owner, who explains that his company has already run its seven-year-old QM 46-2 to 65 million impressions - and it’s still going strong. In terms of performance, Bierema expects no less from the new press, which replaces a less productive competitive model. “I definitely anticipate a short-term payback on my investment,” he says. Of the Heidelberg systemservice and support he receives on the new press, says Bierema, Heidelberg technicians are unfailingly “professional, knowledgeable, courteous and effective.” PIP Ocala runs the new press across one eight-hour shift, turning out letterheads, business cards, envelopes, mailers and more for a local clientele. Established in 1979, the company has six employees.
