Print Group Adds Printmaster QM 46-2 to All-Heidelberg Pressroom, Taps into New Markets
Print Group, Inc., Ozark, Mo., recently installed a two-color Printmaster QM 46 press to tap the market for short-run, spot-color work. The new addition rounds out the company’s family of hardworking Heidelberg presses, which include a five-color Speedmaster SM 74 perfector and a six-color Speedmaster SM 102. “We are particularly proud to have the Printmaster QM 46-2 join our existing Heidelberg presses,” says Jay Wacha, president. Like its half- and full-size relatives, the Printmaster QM 46-2 provides “excellent quality and productivity,” Wacha says, noting that in the 60 days since the installation, the new press has produced about 100,000 impressions per month - “and that’s just in ramp-up mode.” A Heidelberg press in every format class gives Print Group a leg up on the competition. “The work is out there if you know how to capture it,” Wacha says, adding, “Business has been great.” Established in 2002, family-owned Print Group employs 35 and serves a local and national business-to-business clientele. The company operates a variety of Heidelberg equipment, including a Prosetter 102 violet platesetter and an assortment of bindery equipment, including a POLAR 115 ED paper cutter; a Stitchmaster ST 90 eight-pocket saddlestitcher; two Stahlfolder B-26 folders and a Stahlfolder B-20 folder. The company also is due to install a Stahlfolder KH 82 pocket feeder folder this month.
