For Art Bindery, the Big Attraction is POLAR Cutting Systems
Art Bindery, Inc. in Birmingham, Alabama has recently upgraded one of its existing POLAR cutters with a POLAR stack lift, POLAR jogger RAH and POLAR Transomat unloader, and it plans to install a new POLAR 137 XTR cutting system this month. Art Bindery is purchasing the POLAR 137 XTR cutting system to support its new MagnetLAM process. The MagnetLAM process takes any printed press sheet and transforms it into a flexible magnet. Art Bindery is presently trimming these magnet sheets in four-inch lifts, which weigh about 250 pounds. The shop says the POLAR Transomat unloader saves them untold man hours and fatigue in automatically palatalizing the trimmed magnets. Art Bindery will soon have a total of four POLAR cutters; two will be complete trim systems. Art Bindery does specialized print finishing and bindery work for the print trade and employs 30 people in its 85,000 sq. ft. facility.
