Hopkins Printing Expands, Adds Wide-Format Printing Capacity
COLUMBUS, OH—June 22, 2012—Hopkins Printing is excited to announce the completion of a major renovation that has significantly expanded its products and services offering. The additional plant space houses new wide-format digital printing and finishing equipment, including a Roland SolJet printer, Zund router and a RollsRoller flatbed mounting and laminating system. This combination of new equipment will enable Hopkins to produce top-of-the-line wide-format work for its entire customer base.
Hopkins is pleased to welcome Mike Barrett to the team as manager of the additional production space and wide-format equipment. Barrett describes his career as starting at the bottom in 1988 and working his way up while learning the trade. Over the past 18 years, he has managed wide-format divisions for two separate graphics companies in Central Ohio.
Hopkins will be producing vinyl banners, POP signage, repositionable floor decals and various other wide-format materials. The new equipment can also produce retractable banners, as well as indoor and outdoor banners with welded edges. These signs can be mounted to substrates—such as foam core or styrene—to create rigid signage for a variety of needs. Other opportunities include static cling, concrete vinyl, window perf, and much more.
“If you can dream it, we can print it,” says Barrett.
The Hopkins Printing Wide Format Div. anticipates adding additional equipment that will include a flatbed printer for increased efficiency in producing new signage. Hopkins
