Hunkeler AG: Preview for Ipex 2010 #Ipex
WIKON, SWITZERLAND—04/15/2010—At Ipex 2010 Hunkeler will be showing three world firsts. The Double Plow Folder PF7 is being presented on the Hunkeler stand with Friedheim International as an engineering study. The newly developed dynamic perforation module DP6 by Hunkeler will also be making its debut. And, on the stand of our Infoprint Solutions Company partner, the new punching and perforating module PP6 with integral edge perforation will be demonstrated in operational use.
Double Plow Folder PF7: processing 30 inch paper webs at 200 metres per minute
With the Double Plow Folder PF7 from the new POPP7 generation, Hunkeler is presenting a double folding module for book production in medium print runs. The double folding unit enables paper webs with a width of up to 30 inches (762 mm) to be processed into 4 or 6 page signatures. Semi-automatic changeover makes the transition from 4 to 6 page production fast and easy.
DP6: dynamic perforation and stamping combined in a modular concept
With its new DP6 dynamic perforation module, Hunkeler is presenting an inhouse developed modular and highly dynamic solution for longitudinal and transverse perforation.
The equally dynamic file hole and form punching unit integrated into the DP6 perforation module is so far unrivalled on the market. Possible application areas include invoice forms with individual perforation or security punching for coupon production. An extendable concept by Hunkeler makes provision for foreseeable future developments in paper processing.
PP6: high diversity in finishing and integrated register mark printing
The new perforating and punching module PP6 is making its debut on the Infoprint Solutions Company partner stand. The PP6 was designed for in line finishing of unprinted paper rolls (remaliner perforation, longitudinal and transverse perforation, fold perforation, file hole punching, sample punching etc.) with the typical application areas of transaction and transpromotion printing in computer centres. In the PP6, the different tools can be inserted via feed cassettes so enabling customer- specific applications to be implemented.
In addition to mechanical paper web processing, the new perforating and punching module handles register mark printing via an optional printer unit so as to guarantee a perfect match of the paper web finish without edge perforation.
