As PRINT 17 demonstrates, the visual communications and media industry is truly global. Original equipment manufacturers, printing and allied service companies, and their customers stretch across borders and oceans, but they all share a common goal: excellence in image reproduction, especially in color quality and consistency across today’s multiple applications.
This month, Idealliance (Booth 2067) is extending the worldwide reach of its color management standards by introducing its Brand Q certification, a new global standards program; conducting a keynote workshop on its G7 and Brand Q programs in Dubai, United Arab Emirates; and launching a new Idealliance satellite office in São Paolo, Brazil, to support standards certification in South and Central America.
Brand integrity
“Our G7 program comprises global specifications for reliably hitting specific color targets. It has become the industry leader in requirements to ensure consistent reproduction of design and color, regardless of the print method, inks, or substrates used,” says Tim Baechle, Idealliance VP of Global Print Technologies & Workflows. “The new Brand Q program will help brand owners, print buyers, and PSPs maintain brand integrity across multiple locations, processes, and media through communication of brand and print specifications.
“As with G7, the Brand Q program offers assessment tools, technical resources, and online education for controlling and monitoring print quality across the supply chain,” he continues. “With today’s increasingly complex packaging options and multinational brand circulation, the Brand Q program has particular relevance to the global packaging market.” To learn more, visit Idealliance’s booth or attend the PRINT 17 seminar: “Brand Q: The New Recipe for Packaging” (R34), 11 to 11:50 am, on Wednesday, Sept. 13, in Room S105a.
“Standards help service providers be more skilled at what they do. When they meet industry standards, they raise the bar of their performance and elevate their organization above the competition,” he adds. “People have gone through G7 training all over the world, and for every type of print process—proof to print—and then applied standards and created process benchmarks. We believe they will be equally eager to access and implement Brand Q training. That’s one reason we are expanding our reach through satellite offices in the Pacific Rim, India, and now in Latin America.”
Serve the world
The new Idealliance office in São Paolo will bring hands-on training and certification in color management to South America. “We are excited to be able to make these resources more readily available for companies in the Latin American market,” says Baechle.
“Idealliance is here to serve the world and educate the world,” Baechle continues. “When you give people standards and show why, when, and how to put them into practice, they soon become everyday standards, helping create unbroken communication between brand and print provider, tightening the channel, reducing the cost of production, and letting the brand owner know that the print service provider is highly proficient,” says Baechle, adding: “It is a quality and competitive advantage that is recognized by companies and customers in every part of the world.”
