Zen Systems Becomes InfoPrint Solutions Partner

Peter Somu, Principal and CEO of Zen Systems, is the latest industry thought leader to become an InfoPrint Solutions Partner. This speaker and author's areas of expertise include ADF and other workflow solutions including InfoPrint ProcessDirector (IPPD) and solutions for the new Intelligent Mail barcode. 50th Anniversary of Production Printing

2009 will mark the 50th anniversary of InfoPrint's first production printer. Launched in 1959, the IBM 1403 was four times faster than any other available machines and marked the beginning of the high speed and volume printing era. The 1403 led the market until the early 1970s when competitive solutions caught up with the technology.

Building on IBM's long-standing legacy in production printing, InfoPrint is continuing to pioneer the production and variable data printing markets. Next year, InfoPrint will take the IBM 1403 on a world tour to highlight the evolution of digital printing and the outstanding features of the printer that have been adopted by many other printers today. In fact, key technological elements of the IBM 1403 are embedded in the full-color, high quality InfoPrint 5000 printing platform which leads the market today.
