Inkjet Summit: Once Again a Win-Win for Sponsors and Attendees
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL—April 29, 2014—The 2014 Inkjet Summit, held April 7-9 at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club here was a major success for both sponsors and attendees. The Inkjet Summit is an invitation-only, hosted event designed for senior managers and business executives from print providers and corporate enterprises that are looking to develop strategies, understand their options and make major investment decisions around inkjet printing technology.
According to Marco Boer, vice president of IT Strategies and chair of the 2014 Inkjet Summit, “This event has become the single most important and focused digital production printer conference in the printing industry worldwide. There is no other event that encourages as much interaction and sharing of knowledge of production inkjet technology among equipment, software and supplies manufacturers and those have are interested in adopting the technology.”
While users are looking for information and guidance, suppliers are looking for ways to identify and develop relationships with these potential buyers specifically interested in inkjet solutions. The Inkjet Summit was able to meet both of these needs, making the conference a tremendous success for both attendees and sponsors.
2014 Inkjet Summit Keynote level sponsors included Canon Solutions America, Fujifilm, International Paper and Ricoh. Xerox was a Diamond level sponsor. For a full list of sponsors please visit www.ijsummit.com.
"International Paper was a pioneer in inkjet papers when we developed some of the first papers suitable for desktop inkjet printing in the ‘80s via our Hammermill brand," said Jeff Hester, marketing and strategy manager for Printing & Bristol Papers. "We continue to leverage innovation to position ourselves for the future and maintain our competitive edge in the digital market. Being a keynote sponsor at the 2014 Inkjet Summit allowed us to engage current customers in an intimate setting while providing an ideal format to meet leaders from prospective customers in order to discuss our overall digital portfolio. The Inkjet Summit proved to be an exceptional opportunity for IP to demonstrate our capabilities and to discuss solutions that will enable our customers to achieve their goals.”
“Listening, advising and building relationships—these are the three key reasons that we’ve returned to the Inkjet Summit for its second year. The quality of attendees and mix of different sessions once again made the event a uniquely worthwhile experience to take the pulse of the people who make up our industry,” said Mike Herold, director of Continuous Feed Inkjet Solutions, at Ricoh. “As a keynote sponsor, we appreciated the opportunity to share our insights on how information mobility is impacting companies, and how inkjet’s progress and new innovations are providing them with unprecedented opportunities. What we value even more are the candid, face-to-face conversations that get at the heart of what keeps our customers and print service providers up at night. What drives their excitement about the industry and their businesses in the days and years ahead. And how we can, and do, help them succeed by placing them and their unique needs at the center of our relationship, with innovative technology solutions and services as the strong foundation.”
"Being an active participant and a keynote sponsor of an event like the 2014 Inkjet Summit gives Canon Solutions America the unique opportunity to not only interact with our customers and learn what makes their businesses successful, but to also foster thought leadership and development in the area of inkjet technology. We are excited to partner with our customers and help them take advantage of this fast-growing technology. With the right inkjet solution, we can help our customers expand their service offerings while improving cost efficiency and operating at higher profit margins. The Inkjet Summit is a great environment to engage in this level of discussion," stated Francis McMahon, vice president of marketing at Canon Solutions America.
Added Stephen Sanker, director, Inkjet Presses, Fujifilm: “The 2014 event was our second year of sponsorship of the Inkjet Summit. We continue to find the atmosphere to be unique for connecting with the critical elements influencing our market along with a highly productive mechanism for developing strategic relationships with key customers at the forefront of our community. The Inkjet Summit is shaping the dynamic between industry leaders for knowledge sharing and education in every respect. We find the very high level relationship development that takes place at this event to be a great way for Fujifilm to communicate our core values and guiding principles behind our company and our solutions. We are looking forward to the ongoing expansion of this event; there is clearly a new standard for return on investment coming for conferences and exhibits in our industry. Fujifilm is all in for 2015!”
Executive attendees enjoyed the opportunity to meet one-on-one with, and listen to focused case studies from these, and other, leading inkjet solution suppliers. They also learned from top industry experts and their peers through keynote sessions, inkjet user panels, industry analyst presentations and application-specific breakout sessions.
“Our goal with the Inkjet Summit is to provide maximum value to our attendees as well as our sponsors and, based on initial feedback, I believe we achieved that. This is accomplished through a strong conference program and the right mix of networking and relationship building activities,” said David Pesko, senior vice president at nGage Events. “Attendees learned from experts, suppliers and, most importantly, their peers on how to approach inkjet and how to be successful.”
“The Inkjet Summit provides a very unique forum for advancing the dialog around the adoption of production inkjet technologies. We are grateful for the analysts, sponsors, and attendees who contributed greatly to the success of this year’s event” added Mark J. Subers, group president and media director of the Printing Impressions Group of NAPCO.
The 2014 Inkjet Summit covered four major segments (Books, Direct Mail/Marketing, General Commercial Printing, and Transactional Printing) and will expand in 2015.
