Investors, Executives Acquire Patented
DAYTON, OH—A group of senior executives at Patented Printing and some outside investors, including former Heidelberg North America President and CEO Niels Winther, has acquired the company from former CEO Dick Westfall and rebranded itself as Think Patented.
The new name combines Patented Printing and Patented Mailing into a single entity that provides a full range of production, printing, mailing and fulfillment services.
Winther is joined by fellow outside investors Jim Russell and Flemming Elleboe. Westfall and business partner Norm Eckstein are shareholders in the new ownership venture. The Patented executive/ownership team is comprised of Ken McNerney, president; Dale Lunce, senior account executive; and Joe Sellars, vice president of operations.
The investor group is also partners in printing companies located in Detroit and Windsor, Ontario. These companies add mini-web and full-web production to the mix. The companies combine to create a $35 million regional network, with Winther as its CEO.
