MEMPHIS, TN—October 29, 2013—International Paper recently announced the launch of 25 new digital items to the Accent Opaque brand. The addition of these new items strengthens the current portfolio which includes a new super smooth line of treated papers designed for digital printing applications.
“Digital printing is a strategic area for our customers and for International Paper,” said Clay Ellis, International Paper vice president of Printing Papers. “We’re committed to supporting our customer’s needs in this growth segment by having products in our Accent line engineered specifically for the demands of inkjet and toner based digital printing”.
The Accent Opaque product line is produced at International Paper’s world-class Ticonderoga, NY, Mill, which recently announced a long-term investment in a natural gas pipeline to further reduce its greenhouse gas emissions. The new super smooth text and cover items were awarded a three star rating by the RIT Printing Applications Laboratory for toner adhesion in HP Indigo equipment. Each new Accent digital item carries the Forest Stewardship Council seal of certification.
Many new Accent Opaque digital size additions are currently available and the balance will be in stock by the end of November 2013.
