International Paper Launches New Digital Paper Portfolio Swatchbook at DscoopX
COHOES, NY—March 5, 2015—International Paper unveiled a new Digital Paper Portfolio swatch book at the Dscoop tradeshow today. The swatchbook showcases the power of International Paper’s digital paper portfolio when combined with digital technology. The swatchbook contains waterfall sample sections for all five of International Paper’s digital paper brands and includes examples of many basis weights with 20 different swatches. This provides customers with the information they need to make a great paper selection for their next project. In addition, a color block page shows the 17 different paper colors available in the Hammermill and Springhill brands.
The swatch book presents a practical guide to each of International Paper’s digital paper brands (Accent Opaque, Carolina, Hammermill, Springhill and Williamsburg), as well as an imaginative journey that showcases the creative possibilities of digital image creation, the power of digital printing and the stunning results of printing on digital paper. This combination of the art and science of digital printing creates two books in one. To further enhance the piece, Augmented Reality (AR) features that use the IP4D app allow you to take a look behind the scenes at how the images were created and other bonus content. Download instructions are available within the swatch book.
Years of careful study have gone into the production of the International Paper Digital Paper portfolio. Digital image creation, with tools like Computer Generated Imagery (CGI), open new creative pathways for designers in which imagery is limited only by one’s imagination.
Meanwhile, digital printing and digital papers offer new tools to printers, production managers and designers, offering a cost effective way to print small runs and/or customizable print projects with a quality that was previously only possible at high cost and/or in large quantities.
