In the digital press arena, the Screen TruePress is now available in several sizes. The digital offset and ink-jet systems from Agfa, Indigo, Nipson and Xeikon were displayed, as was the UltraStream seven-color system (high-speed A2 format printing of up to 4,000 sph).
A small Japanese company, Kohan Densitograph, which is the Japanese agent for the Ugra-Fogra color measurement and calibration system, has adapted the color system to cater to the (Japanese) national preference for soft color, while retaining contrast by developing a computer program that keeps the reflection densities of colors, but reduces the black density. This approach could easily be further adapted to take into account local color preferences.
