Japs-Olson Achieves G7 Master Qualification in Color Management on Sheetfed, Web Platforms
MINNEAPOLIS — February 27, 2017 — Japs-Olson Company, a print and direct mail production provider for over 100 years, has received the 2017 G7 Master Qualification in Color Management certification awarded by Idealliance. The designation, which Japs-Olson first achieved in 2009 for its sheetfed presses and in 2010 for its web platform, means that the Company uses G7 press calibration technology to assure a visual match from proof to print on all its presses.
Idealliance (International Digital Enterprise Alliance), which manages the specification, is a not-for-profit industry group dedicated to guiding print production best practices, specifications and standards, worldwide. Japs-Olson joins a select group of print service providers who have successfully completed training, examination and qualification of its print production processes, validating its capabilities to the highest level of global industry standards and specifications.
Already an efficient print provider, Japs-Olson has a Certified G7 Expert on staff that ensures the Company maintains consistency and quality in proofing, brand color management and print processes across all press technologies. In addition, the G7 process has been shown to save make-ready time and reduce paper waste.
