MINNEAPOLIS—To enhance the speed and quality of the in-line printing capabilities on its web offset presses, Japs-Olson Co. has ordered 24 Kodak Prosper S10 imprinting systems. The inkjet printheads will be used to produce high-volume direct mail and other variable data applications.
“Japs-Olson is committing to the Prosper system technology as the future platform for high-quality and high-production variable printing,” said Michael Murphy, company president. “Seeing the Prosper S10 imprinting system in action confirmed that this technology will take hybrid (offset and digital) printing to the next level."
The systems, based on Stream continuous inkjet technology, print at speeds to 1,000 fpm and a 600 dpi resolution.
