JDF & CIM -- Issues Are Not so CIMple

Since JDF grew out of the CIP3/PPF initiative, it's reasonable to expect solutions for backward compatibility and/or upgrading to JDF support from vendors that implemented the earlier technology. Backward compatibility with the current level of functionality should also be maintainable as the JDF specification is refined with future version releases.
