One of the main points Harvey has made in response to this assessment is that JDF implementation is not an all-or-nothing proposition. Pioneering printers are analyzing their workflows to identify inefficiencies while also checking the JDF readiness of current components of their production infrastructures, he says. They are finding that even limited applications can pay worthwhile dividends and lay the groundwork for future end-to-end JDF integration, the CIP4 exec reports.
