Jostens' Yearbook Production Website Granted Industry First Patent
MINNEAPOLIS, MN—September 1, 2010—Yearbook Avenue, Jostens’ innovative yearbook creation Website for schools, has been granted a patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, making Yearbook Avenue the only patented online yearbook system available.
As an innovator in designing software to support the creation of yearbook pages online prior to printing, Yearbook Avenue has significantly changed the way school yearbooks are created and school yearbook programs are managed. Staffs use the page ladder feature in Yearbook Avenue to plan their annual, the image library and image tagging features to collect and catalog images, and other tools available in Yearbook Avenue to track yearbook coverage of students and groups.
