KBA Web Offset Users Group Conference to be Held During GRAPH EXPO
RESTON, VA—April 20, 2010—The KBA Web Offset Users Group has announced it will hold its annual conference in Chicago this fall in conjunction with GRAPH EXPO 2010. The day-and-a-half KBA Users Group conference will be held during the first two days of GRAPH EXPO, on October 3-4, 2010. GRAPH EXPO 2010, the year's largest graphic communications exhibition and conference in the Americas, takes place October 3-6, 2010, in Chicago's McCormick Place South. The KBA Users Group conference will be co-located with GRAPH EXPO 2010 in McCormick Place.
Open to all KBA web press users in North America, the member-run KBA Users Group holds a conference every year to share user updates, operational experiences and information on new technology.
"Given the importance of GRAPH EXPO to our members, it made sense for us to hold this year's Users Group meeting during the show," explained Tom Letto, board member of the KBA Users Group and Production Director at The Courier-Journal in Louisville, KY. "Fellow KBA Users Group board members Gary Hall, Mark Jefferies and our entire leadership team are excited about this opportunity. Particularly with the debut of the News Print pavilion this year, GRAPH EXPO provides an ideal forum for our members to network and share information specific to our press equipment within the context of what's going on in the industry at large." The News Print pavilion will feature equipment, technologies and education of interest to the newspaper printing and publishing industry in one area of the show floor.
"We're pleased to be able to host the KBA Users Group meeting during GRAPH EXPO," said Ralph Nappi, President of the Graphic Arts Show Co. (GASC). "GRAPH EXPO has always been committed to web offset press users. But with our brand-new News Print pavilion this year, graphic communications professionals such as the members of the KBA Users Group will find even more innovative technology and productivity- and revenue-boosting ideas that they will be able to apply to their businesses."
Recognized as the commercial printing, publishing, mailing and transactional exposition for the Americas, GRAPH EXPO 2010 themed, "The Next Generation of Print," has been designed to offer a customized show-going experience for a diverse spectrum of attendees from 11 key market segments. The exhibition will offer the latest graphic communications technologies, live equipment demonstrations on the show floor, plus education on the most in-demand products and profit-making opportunities.
In addition to the News Print pavilion, which is sponsored by News & Tech magazine, attendees will find six other special interest sections on the show floor. These include PackPrint, covering package printing; Future Print, featuring Printed Electronics and RFID; the Mailing & Fulfillment Center, the industry's largest mailing event anywhere in the Americas; the second annual GREENspace, a showcase dedicated to sustainability and eco-friendly products and services; Prepress/Software-Design; and, Press/Finishing.
