Kluge to Demo New Folding and Gluing, Laser Cutting, Foil Stamping, UV Coating Systems at drupa
ST. CROIX FALLS, Wis. — May 24, 2016 — Kluge, a recognized industry leader in short- to medium-run print finishing and converting solutions, will demonstrate advancements in folding and gluing, laser cutting, foil stamping and UV coating at drupa 2016 in Düsseldorf, Germany. Kluge will be conducting the following demonstrations in Hall 11, exhibit D22.
- Folding and Gluing: The launch of Kluge's newest generation folding and gluing system the OmniFold 3000. The new OmniFold 3000 is a completely modular system and the only folder gluer in its class with these unique features: synchronized touch-screen controls, interchangeable feeding units, modular alignment system, modular pre-break device, interchangeable bearing bed transports and interchangeable vacuum transports. The OmniFold system will be converting various folding cartons.
- Laser Cutting: Kluge and strategic partner LasX will be showcasing innovative laser converting technology with the world premiere of CartonsInMinutes the on demand laser processing and converting solution for folding cartons and various other products. Multiple folding carton designs will be laser cut, scored, blanked and converted using the CartonsInMinutes proprietary system controls and robotics that allow for instant order change and on-the-fly processing of live orders.
- Foil Stamping: Kluge, the world leader in small- and medium-format foil stamping and diecutting presses, will launch the new patent pending TRU-DWELL adjustable dwell system along with several new features that eliminate traditional make-ready and changeover requirements. Demonstrations including dual-stream feeding of die-cut shapes, foil saving controls and quick-change die systems will be on exhibit.
- UV Coating: The new line of OmniCoat UV roller coaters for production digital and wide format roller coating will be in operation. drupa 2016 will also serve as Kluge's launch for the new LED UV curing system for production digital coating systems.
