ROCHESTER, N.Y. — May 31, 2016 — Kodak has confirmed the integration of Kodak PRINERGY Workflow with presses from Landa, Konica Minolta, Ricoh and Komori. By bringing access to PRINERGY Workflow's Workshop user interface to more publishers, packaging and commercial printers, these new partnerships enable an advanced level of centralized digital device control and automation. Customers benefit by being able to make production decisions based on real-time metrics and by gaining control over all job ticketing parameters through rules-based automation.
PRINERGY Workflow will be demonstrated at the Kodak Quarter (Hall 5, Stand F09) at drupa 2016 in Düsseldorf, Germany, showcasing the benefits of these partnerships:
- The strategic partnership between Kodak and Komori automates communication between PRINERGY Workflow and Komori KP-Connect (K-Station) Printing Task Control Software, giving mutual customers of offset and digital presses a powerful shop floor scheduling solution. A technology demonstration of the solution will be on display at Komori's booth (Hall 15, Booth D04) at drupa.
- The integration of PRINERGY Workflow and Konica Minolta's AccurioJet KM-1 high speed B2 inkjet press allows commercial printing, publishing and packaging customers to leverage Kodak technology across the entire Konica Minolta portfolio, including the inkjet and bizhub PRESS product lines. This includes Kodak ColorFlow Software, Kodak Preps Imposition Software and Kodak Pandora Step-and-Repeat Software. The AccurioJet KM-1 high speed B2 inkjet press featuring integrated PRINERGY Workflow will be demonstrated at Konica Minolta's booth (Hall 8B, Booth A65) at drupa.
- Integrating PRINERGY Workflow's digital press management system with Landa's Nanographic printing press, including a future cloud-based ganging feature, will allow Landa's customers using B1 sheets to more quickly and accurately layout jobs at unmatched speeds. The integrated capabilities of PRINERGY Workflow will be on display at drupa in Landa's booth in Hall 9.
- Ricoh's new TotalFlow Printer Server R-61/R-61A, a jointly developed hybrid imaging system featuring all the benefits of PRINERGY Workflow and ColorFlow software, provides excellent image quality, flawless page integrity and unprecedented color consistency between offset and digital presses in a PRINERGY Workflow environment. The Printer Server R-61/R-61A featuring PRINERGY Workflow will be demonstrated in Ricoh's booth (Hall 8A, Stand B46) at drupa.
"By broadening the reach of PRINERGY Workflow's digital press management, we are enabling more commercial printing, publishing and packaging customers to realize the benefits of automation," remarks Allan Brown, VP and GM of Kodak's Unified Workflow Solutions group. "We are looking forward to expanding our relationship with these key partners and demonstrating our joint capabilities, including real-time metrics and rules-based automation at drupa."
