Komori America and MBO America Enjoy Success Together at PRINTING United Expo
Komori America Corporation, a premier manufacturer of printing solutions, is excited to share that, for the first time in the U.S., Komori America and MBO America showed the industry their combined strength as a single-source printing and finishing solution provider from a common booth at PRINTING United last month. Under the theme of “Performance Unparalleled,” Komori and MBO demonstrated their singular focus on advancing print solutions for both offset and digital technology.
“Komori America and MBO America were happy to host many valued customers and enthusiastic new prospects during the event,” said Lance Martin, vice president of marketing for Komori and MBO. “We were also happy to announce that three new Komori advance presses (GL40Pa, GLX40Pa, GLX44RPa) were sold, and all the MBO America systems displayed in the booth (MBO Rollfed Line, MBO K8RS/CoBo-Stack Folder System, MBO FC23 Flood UV Coater) were sold. It is clear that the printing industry in America is alive and well!”
Komori highlighted the success of its new advance offset press series that is getting attention from commercial printers across the globe, proving to be ideal for both commercial and packaging print production. Komori’s advance Series addresses the industry-wide challenge of finding skilled press operators. The advance presses extend the Lithrone G and GX press platforms, offering enhanced automation for extremely fast production with fewer operator touchpoints. Printed samples from the commercial, packaging and inkjet markets were on display, along with videos showing Komori customers and their Komori advance presses producing the samples.
MBO America showcased a few of its modular finishing systems that offer production environments greater automation, faster makeready, downtime reduction and a high level of flexibility. The company demonstrated its popular, modular Rollfed Finishing System for the continuous forms inkjet market by producing a complicated, direct mail self-mailer using printed rolls produced on the Canon ProStream 1800. It also demonstrated a fully automatic signature folding system (the K8RS) with palletizing robot (CoBo-Stack) showing how labor can be removed and still produce at very high productivity levels.
Because embellishment for continuous forms inkjet print is gaining popularity, MBO America displayed its new FC23 Coater in a double-sided, UV, flood coating configuration. The unit has been upgraded on many fronts with concentration on ease of use.
