Komori Invites Printers to Join the Efficiency Revolution at GRAPH EXPO
ROLLING MEADOWS, IL—October 3, 2012—At GRAPH EXPO 2012, under the “Join the Efficiency Revolution” banner at Booth #1255, Komori America will demonstrate products and services designed to help printers reduce waste, speed job cycle time and improve profitability. This GRAPH EXPO, with efficiency being the most important aspect of driving costs down and profitability up, Komori is excited to have the opportunity to focus on the many ways printers can achieve these critical goals for success. To support those goals, Komori will be exhibiting a number of solutions designed to help printers cut wasted effort, time and paper out of their operation.
Introducing the Impremia IS29
Launched at drupa 2012, the Impremia IS29 marks Komori’s entry into the inkjet digital market space. This 29” sheetfed, inkjet machine is the first of its kind, and is also equipped with hybrid UV technology. “Komori has been working on this new product line for the past several years and we are very pleased that we are able to show the benefits of this technology at GRAPH EXPO 2012,” says Jacki Hudmon, vice-president of sales for Komori America. Developed in conjunction with Konica Minolta, the IS29 can operate in straight or perfecting mode and can print on substrates from 60-lb paper to 18-pt. board, and does not require any specially treated papers. “This makes it an ideal partner to a sheetfed press, since you can virtually use the same substrates,” says Hudmon. Komori will also offer a simulated “live” demonstration of its new Impremia IS29 via an interactive hook-up with Komori’s production plant in Japan.
Also through their partnership with Konica Minolta, Komori will demonstrate the BizHub C8000 digital device at GRAPH EXPO. "The beauty of this partnership is that the C8000 is the only digital device G7 certified, guaranteeing a color match between the digital press and the Komori sheetfed press, providing added versatility and efficiency for our customers," adds Hudmon.”
KHS-AI: The backbone of Komori efficiency
As part of its mission to support a high level of efficiency in the pressroom, Komori’s KHS-AI software can achieve ink and register stability in just 20 sheets—dramatically reducing makeready time and paper waste. In addition, the company’s award-winning H-UV Curing System makes is possible to go from the press directly to bindery providing even extra added value to meet the demands of today’s fast-paced printing marketplace. “When you take the power of KHS-AI and marry it with the high efficiency of our H-UV system, it is the perfect storm of productivity,” says Doug Schardt, sheetfed product manager for Komori America.
