Lake Erie Graphics Adds Fully Loaded Agfa Flatbed Inkjet Printer

LAS VEGAS—Oct. 18, 2012—Agfa Graphics announced that Lake Erie Graphics, a commercial printer based in Brook Park, OH, has purchased a full 48-head configuration of the :Jeti 3020 Titan UV inkjet printing system. Once the installation is complete, it (www.lakeeriegraphics.com) will be the only printer in its geographic area with an :Jeti 3020 Titan equipped with the maximum number of printing heads.

“We chose the :Jeti 3020 Titan for its high-speed, high-quality, eight-color printing capability and low ink cost,” said Jim Dietz, Lake Erie president. “We liked the quality of the machine, which is remarkably easy to use and uncomplicated.”

The device is built on an industrial-strength, wide-format platform that incorporates rugged construction with operator-friendly design and features. It, along with the entire :Jeti family, offers a highly intuitive user interface that minimizes errors and saves time during setup and production cycles.

The field-upgradeable :Jeti 3020 Titan can be configured with a minimum of 16 inkjet printing heads up to a maximum of 48 to meet as business grows meet productivity demands as business grows.

Dietz also liked that the :Jeti 3020 Titan has a flat-to-roll option supporting rolls up to 250 lbs. and 126" wide. When the new system is installed, Lake Erie Graphics will be adding new products to its impressive lineup, including backlit films, prototypes and signage.

The flatbed machine has a maximum print area of 122x79" and is equipped with retractable registration pins for precise and accurate substrate positioning. For added productivity, the Titan can print three 61x41"boards side-by-side, simultaneously. It features a true 1,200 dpi print resolution and printing speeds up to 2,282 sq.ft./hr. while handling media up to 124x81" and 2" thick.
