BIRMINGHAM, U.K.— 29/05/2008—Ipex 2010’s new dates and layout have been greeted enthusiastically by leading industry suppliers, with Heidelberg, Kodak, Canon and HP among the leading industry suppliers already allocated space on the exhibition floorplan.
“Industry reaction to our innovations for Ipex 2010 has been extremely positive,” says Ipex 2010 event director Trevor Crawford. “The new, later dates – 18th to 25th May – avoid major international public holidays and should move us into a generally warmer climate. In addition, locating the exhibition solely within the new halls, accessible via a single main entrance, simplifies navigation and makes it much more likely that visitors will get to see all the companies they plan to.
“In particular, exhibitors have welcomed our decision to exploit this new, unified footprint by organising the halls to mirror the print production workflow. Around 40 major suppliers have now reserved space in the relevant workflow sectors, where they are acting as a magnet for exhibitors with similar or complementary products. In fact, in some areas demand for space will soon mean we have to implement waiting lists.
“It’s also significant that a number of exhibitors have increased the size of their stands. The top 15 exhibitors have collectively increased their stand footprints by 39%, compared to 2006 – a sign of the importance they place on Ipex.”
Other major suppliers who have agreed the location of their stands include Screen, Fuji, Goss International, Komori, Ferag, Kolbus, Mitsubishi, Friedheim International, Presstek and Konica Minolta.
