Heidelberg's Linoprint CV Digital Printing System Provides New Opportunities for Customers
KENNESAW, Ga. — February 12, 2016 — As Heidelberg continues to expand its digital portfolio, more customers are reaping the cost-effective benefits of Linoprint digital printing systems. With 50 Linoprints sold this fiscal year, customers across the United States are discovering new business opportunities with increased application capabilities, remarkable 5-color flexibility and consistent print quality.
More Capabilities, More Jobs, More Clients
Frisco Printing and Graphics Center, a commercial printer in Frisco, Texas, is now operating four times faster since the installation of its Linoprint CV last year. After seven years with a competitive digital machine, the company needed a replacement that could run higher speeds and offer additional capabilities to maintain a healthy competitive advantage in an ever-changing market.
“We’ve run twice as many color and digital jobs as we did prior to the installation of the Linoprint. In addition to running four times faster, we have the ability to run textured stock and short-run brochures,” commented Ron Naas, president. “We also see a huge opportunity to print on-demand with this machine. In a lot of cases, we’re able to offer same-day turnarounds so the Linoprint allows us to not only keep up with our current clients’ demands, but also attract more and more customers in a competitive market.”
Consistency from Start to Finish
With three months since its installation, the Linoprint CV has offered Time Printing Solutions Provider of Sacramento, Calif., “mind-blowing quality, outstanding consistency from start to finish and spectacular color management.” As the first digital press to be installed in the commercial shop, the company was looking for a solution to stop short-run, quick-turn orders from disrupting the production schedule on its primary press.
“We’ve now moved about 60-70% of the work originally printed on our sheetfed press to our Linoprint, which has allowed for faster turnaround times, increased productivity and a higher quality finished piece,” said Andy Poole, president. “The Linoprint has opened up our range of applications with the ability to run 27.5˝ stock, produce high quality specialty work and print with white and clear toner — all of which differ from other machines in the market.”
Linoprint CV – The Flexible All-Rounder
Unique in its class, the Linoprint CV can print five colors with a maximum speed of 90ppm. Aside from the four primary colors, the digital printing system offers both a high-opacity white and a high-gloss full-area or spot coating. The ability to easily switch between them allows for outstanding flexibility for both surface finishing techniques.
Enhanced productivity and advanced color features are just a few of the highlights that give customers the quality and capabilities expected from more expensive competitive models in the market. Thanks to its innovative laser technology, the Linoprint CV delivers razor-sharp high-resolution images. Other impressive features include toner with a large color gamut and a low melting point. This makes it possible to print on a wider range of materials, such as heat-sensitive plastics, with an image and color quality close to that achieved in offset.
