Lithograpahers Club of Chicago Packs Fuller Grafix/Sakurai Open House
WOOD DALE, IL—MARCH 10, 2009—Nearly 70 members of the Lithographers Club of Chicago, plus representatives of Fuller Grafix and Sakurai USA, Inc. braved the rain to participate in a lively, informative and entertaining evening at Sakurai’s USA’s North American Headquarters in Schaumburg on Thursday, February 26, 2009.
“We were delighted, to host our friends from the Litho Club to showcase Sakurai’s latest offset and screen presses”, said Larry Fuller”, President, Fuller Grafix. The turnout was impressive and members, suppliers and guests clearly enjoyed themselves, while learning more about Sakurai presses offered by Fuller Grafix”.
The Sakurai 466SDC was the featured press running at 16,000 IPH with a make-ready of 6 minutes while fully connected to the prepress accepting CIP-3 / 4 data. “This truly showed how the adaptation of new technology can allow printers to be competitive and profitable. Without this peed and make-ready abilities, companies are finding it hard to remain profitable and competitive,” stated Don Bence, Vice President, Sakurai USA.
“The first General meeting for the Lithographers Club of Chicago was a complete success and thanks to Sakurai and Fuller Grafix, stated Charlie Molicki, President. The demo center at Sakurai is set up wonderfully. Not only has Sakurai had a very successful career in the half size format offset print application, I was extremely impressed with the UV screen technology. I think that this is definitely a niche at present and in the future for very high quality "lithographs". I feel that this will be very profitable for your company as run lengths in the commercial market continue to decline”.
“The Wrigley Field poster was beautiful and I kept one for myself to present proudly in my home after I share with my colleagues. I feel that Sakurai has been able to send to market, "state of the art" technology for many years and I especially enjoyed the history of the company as illustrated by the video presentation. Thank you all for your sponsorship and if there is anything that the LCC or I can do for you, please let me know,” Molicki added.
