M13 Graphics, a leading online printer, has chosen a Landa Digital Printing Nanographic Printing Press to take on production of the company’s large portfolio of print products, M13 and Landa announced. M13 serves as an online printer for tens of thousands of customers nationwide and has printed several billion impressions since its opening in 2002.
Moving jobs to the Landa will allow M13 to offer higher commercial-level quality, options including unlimited paper choices and inline coating, and expanded applications such as EPID and variable. The new capabilities will strengthen M13’s existing, competitive advantages in quality, cost and turnaround times.
M13 Graphics’ President, Dan Banakis, says the Landa S10P press fits the vision he’s had in mind for the company: “I was not going to be one of those print shop owners who close themself off from advancements and insist they’ll survive with old technology. I want M13 to be ready for the future.”
As such, Banakis is also enthusiastic about the Landa’s near-zero waste, high marks in sustainability and recyclability, and its suite of services that will allow M13 to easily integrate its workflow or MIS with the press.
“You know you’re looking at a superior technology when it adds so many benefits without forcing a trade-off,” Banakis says. “When we tested our files on the Landa, we realized pretty quickly that our core, overnight printing service will soon compare favorably with the industry’s most elite commercial-quality providers, in much less time.”
To serve expanded markets accordingly, Banakis says plans to establish a sales team are being considered.“ All of our growth has come from marketing and word of mouth,” he says. “But the day we start running the Landa, M13’s pool of customers will surge. Regular customers who love us but have had to send those jobs somewhere else will want in… and then there’s a glut of companies who are waiting for more high quality digital suppliers – especially fast ones, like us – that we will have to start talking to.
“More customers. More to do. I haven’t been this excited about a new adventure in years!”
“M13 represents a segment that is eager for the advantages Landa presses bring,” says Sharon Cohen, Chief Business Officer for Landa Digital Printing. ”Customers are already loyal to M13 Graphics for its speed and efficiency, and now their satisfaction will increase with the addition of the Landa S10P. We are excited to have M13 join the Landa family, demonstrating our technology’s prowess in the Online segment as well. We are proud to have Dan and his amazing team as our partners.”
