Manugraph DGM Projects Healthy Outlook in All Divisions
ELIZABETHVILLE, PA—August 24, 2011—Manugraph DGM Inc. (MDGM) reports strong trends towards continued favorable business in all aspects of their divisions.
In addition to a healthy new equipment order book, the MDGM factory in Pennsylvania has been very successful with used equipment sales as well as press relocation and reconditioning projects in North and South America.
In the last three years the used equipment business has generated the sale of 71 four-high towers and 20 folders on behalf of its agency representation customers. “Entering the full service used equipment business has produced excellent value for MDGM and all of our customers, both the ones we represent in the sale of their equipment and the buyers we generated for them,” says Dave Moreland, president of MDGM.
Grupo Editorial Matul of Guatire, Estado Miranda, Venezuela, purchased a 28-unit used DGM 430 press consisting of seven four-high towers, one Goss SSC jaw folder and one (1) Goss Urbanite rotary folder. The MDGM contract includes removal of the equipment from its present location in the USA, factory reconditioning and modifications to the Goss Urbanite folder, shipment and turnkey installation to be completed in December, 2011. The press will print two daily newspapers, La Voz (daily circulation of 70,000 copies and the state’s largest newspaper) and La Region, (25,000 daily copy circulation).
Mexico City, Mexico customer GT Impresiones has purchased a used DGM 440 press with UV capabilities to use for printing semi-commercial work. The DGM 440 purchase is the beginning of GT Impresiones replacement in stages of their existing press inventory with more productive equipment to handle their increasing workload of magazines and flyers. The order was brokered by Ferrostaal Mexico with assistance from MDGM agent ESG Mexico. DGM will remove the press from its current location in the USA, handle shipment and turnkey installation with project completion in November, 2011.
In April, 2011, F.P. Canadian Newspapers of Winnipeg, Manitoba purchased two used add-on DGM 430 4-high towers to their existing Goss Community press.
In addition to increased used equipment sales, MDGM has recently been involved in four large-scale press moves. AFL Web Printing in Secaucus, NJ, has contracted MDGM to remove and reinstall three DGM 430/Goss Community presses consisting of 17 units and three folders. The project is scheduled for completion in August of 2011.
Wick Communications of New Iberia, LA, contracted MDGM to remove Goss Urbanite presses from the New Iberia location and in its place recondition two Goss Community presses removed from sites in Arizona and North Dakota. The project was completed in March of 2011.
Times-Shamrock Communications has contracted MDGM to remove two Goss Urbanite presses from sites in Torrington, Connecticut and Pottsville, Pennsylvania for reinstallation in their Waverly, PA, site.
