Data-Driven Marketing Firm Adds Sixth HP Indigo Press to Expand Personalization
PALO ALTO, Calif. - October 2, 2018 - Harte Hanks, a data-driven global marketing communications firm with sites across the U.S., has completed installation of an HP Indigo 7900 Digital Press, as it expands business in digital print production and highly personalized direct mail.
“Great technology combined with our superb data intelligence is driving our customer communications services to a new level every day,” said Phil Delaney, Director, Print Services at Harte Hanks. “As our digital print business continues to grow, we are further expanding our capacity and ability to turn printed communications quickly. Speed to market is necessary to insure the data reaching the recipient is as fresh and relevant as possible.”
An early adopter of digital printing in 2001, the San Antonio, Texas-based Harte Hanks continues to grow as more customers discover the power of digital printing to support their printed communications. The new press was installed at its East Bridgewater, MA site. The HP Indigo 7900 installation is Harte Hanks sixth HP Indigo, in addition to an HP PageWide T-230 web press, creating a national footprint from Fullerton, CA, Grand Prairie, Texas, Shawnee, Kan., and Jacksonville, Fla., to meet real-time demand.
The additional HP equipment also helps Harte Hanks to continue to meet sustainability goals.
“One of the bigger challenges for our fulfillment clients is overprinting. Digital print technology provides flexibility in print procurement, reduces storage costs, minimizes or eliminates any print waste and allows customers the ability to customize and/or personalize items on the fly,” said Delaney. “This allows us to better manage our clients’ inventory – we print only what they need when they need it.”
The HP Indigo 7900 Digital Press is the market-leading 13x19˝ format digital sheetfed press. Brands use HP Indigo for its high print quality, just-in-time production, and ability to engage customers by customization and personalization with unique variable data printing capabilities. One Shot technology extends media capabilities to special substrates including synthetics, transparencies, dark, and metalized media.
