Media Tech Plus, in Winter Park, FL, recently installed the Duplo DC-616 PRO slitter/cutter/creaser. Designed to remove white borders and prevent toner cracking on digital color documents, the DC-616 PRO processes multiple slits, cuts and creases in a single pass. Additionally, users can apply up to two perforations along the length of the sheet with the standard perforation unit. “We used to cut on a guillotine cutter, and perforating and scoring was done on a separate machine,” explained Rafael Otero, manager at Media Tech Plus. “The DC-616 PRO has streamlined our process and allowed us to be more efficient. We use it for business cards, tri-fold cards, brochures and perforating CD tray cards and some contact forms.
