HUDSON, MA—July 10, 2013—Grand Image has added direct-to-substrate printing to its already impressive list of offered services. The company has in its 15 years developed a strong reputation in large-format printing. The new offering of direct-to-substrate printing joins a host of other highly sought after services including dye sublimation and large-format, roll-to-roll graphics for billboards, banners, posters, and fabric graphics.
Grand Image has acquired the Vutek QS3200 printer for direct-to-substrate printing, a three-meter hybrid printer that has the ability to switch from roll-to-roll printing to direct-to-substrate printing. The machine produces 1,080 dpi images, which using direct-to-substrate technology are printed directly onto a variety of materials including coroplast, foamcore, aluminum, polycarbonate and more.
The new direct-to-substrate printing service offered by Grand Image is coupled with other major developments including laser cutting and white-ink printing, offering a new host of possibilities for marketing materials and displays.
