It could be said that today’s expanded-gamut wide-format printers are both a blessing and a curse. A blessing, in that they can hit an increasing number of spot, PANTONE and brand colors — as well as produce more vibrant output generally — but a curse in that color calibration and management become an even grayer area than they normally are.
To learn some tips and strategies for “Maximizing Your Color Potential,” join Mimaki’s Josh Hope today from 1 to 2:15 pm, in Room 333. The goal of this session is to help attendees learn to take advantage of their inkjet printer’s full color gamut potential. With today’s inks pushing the limits beyond standards-based color spaces, it’s crucial to understand how and where you can make critical gains in color.
“Color management can be daunting to some, but if understood properly, it can make the workflow run smoothly,” says Hope. “My intent is that attendees gain an understanding of how to best use their printers and color management systems to deliver the desired results.”
