PHILADELPHIA—March 7, 2014—MBO America, a leading provider of a comprehensive range of postpress equipment in the marketplace, kicks off its 30th year with a multi-phase renovation that is key to the company's 2014 Education Initiative. Utilizing 38,000 square feet of space acquired as part of its recent purchase of a new Americas headquarters office, manufacturing, and fulfillment facility; MBO America is readying an interactive demonstration and learning center, complete with a 4,500-square-foot showroom and 2,000 square feet of classroom space.
MBO America is the only graphic arts vendor covering all bindery areas, including folding, mailing, digital and die cutting.
"We've met the conventional, hybrid and digital finishing needs of the graphic arts market with highly reliable, low-service solutions for every application," explains Werner King, VP of Operations for MBO America.
"Now," King continues, "when we teach operators to utilize their postpress equipment with minimal waste and maximum efficiency, they will be learning the essential skills required to optimize their entire production workflow."
The MBO America Postpress Training Seminar
MBO America will offer basic and advanced versions of a flexible, non-commercial, tutorial curriculum that can be customized to meet application-specific needs of individuals and groups from one or more organizations. Applications are unlimited, and can include book block finishing, variable booklet production, signature processing, and pharmaceutical-related production, to name a few.
Seminars at the new showroom and learning facility, as well as those at customer sites, will be hands-on, and focus on integration and use of any one or more MBO America systems. These include, among many other solutions, the best-selling MBO America BSR 550 Servo Die Cutting system; and the new, modular, M80 Flexible Folding system.
The MBO America Training Seminar is available to customers at time of installation, at customers' own locations; or by request at either their own locations or MBO America's new learning facility. The 2-1/2 day class is also scheduled to take place at least once every quarter.
Instruction from the Experts
To make its postpress finishing expertise available to the wider marketplace, MBO America has appointed longtime service manager and finishing specialist, Jim Begley, to the position of showroom manager and senior educator. Another MBO America veteran, Jason Labrie, moves into the service manager position vacated by Begley.
Schedule and Registration
The next class is currently planned for April 22-24, 2014.
To schedule a visit to the showroom or register for a class, contact the MBO America Training Department at 1-800-626-8810, or seminar@mboamerica.com.
