MGI Acquires Majority Ownership of Köra-Packmat

IVRY-SUR-SEINE, FRANCE—March 9, 2012—MGI Digital Graphic Technology, the French manufacturer of digital printing and finishing solutions, has acquired a majority ownership of German industrial manufacturer Köra-Packmat GmbH. MGI and Köra-Packmat have had a strategic industrial collaboration since 2005, which has now officially evolved with the formation of the “MGI Group.”

In line with its strategy of developing digital printing solutions, MGI has accelerated the integration of new precision mechanical and technical know-how.

Whether electronics, chemistry, information technology or precision engineering, the MGI Group now becomes one of the few independent manufacturers mastering the complete production chain aimed at developing future digital inkjet presses.

The MGI Group will present a wide range of digital technologies at drupa (Düsseldorf, Germany from May 3-16, 2012), including new breakthrough technologies resulting from this latest acquisition.

MGI and Köra-Packmat equipment will be visible on the following booths at drupa:

• Köra-Packmat (Hall 3, booth A89)
