WESTMONT, IL—April 24, 2012—Michael Mugavero, a well known industry professional with an extensive background in capital equipment sales and printing plant operation management has been named the manroland sheetfed managing director/CEO for the United States and Canada.
Mugavero commented, “We were driven to simplify. By flattening our organization we dramatically improved internal efficiencies; thereby creating a new leaner, more responsive and empowered market facing organization to ensure our customers receive world class products and services, with customer satisfaction as the key metric.
“In light of the economic challenges the market has faced in recent times, we believe a more engaged consultative approach will translate into helping customers make better strategic investment decisions and achieving better bottom line results,” Mugavero added.
Having initially joined manroland in 1992, Mugavero spent three years at another press manufacturer before rejoining manroland in 2007. He has served as a regional sales manager, general manager, vice president of sales and now managing director of the North American organization.
The executive management team is rounded out with Jon Surch, vice president of Sheetfed Service Operations responsible for all PRINTVALUE functions, parts, service, printcom and machine retrofits.
Mugavero has also accepted a position on the manroland Inc board of directors.
