WHEELING, Ill. - November 20, 2018 - Midland Paper Packaging & Supplies announced that Bill Rojack, Vice President, has been elected to the Two Sides North America Board of Directors.
Two Sides is a global independent non-profit organization created to promote sustainability as well as the responsible production and use of print and paper. An initiative by companies from the Graphic Communications Industry (including forestry, pulp, paper, finishing, publishing, printing, envelopes, and postal operators), Two Sides’ goal is to dispel common environmental misconceptions by providing users with verifiable information on why Print and Paper is an attractive, practical and sustainable communication medium.
Midland Paper has supported Two Sides in their important work since Two Sides NA established its North American presence in 2011. Mike Graves, Midland’s President and CEO, says “Two Sides has done great work in the market and we are happy about their decision to add Bill to their Board. Bill has worked in the industry since 1994 and has taken a special interest in the environmental element of paper since the beginning. Among other efforts, he is a founding member and current co-chair of the Book Industry Environmental Council (BIEC) and has worked on a Two Sides task force for several years. Bill is smart, dedicated and hardworking and we are proud to have him represent Midland on the Two Sides NA Board of Directors.”
Rojack says, “I’m excited to take a leadership role in an organization I consider critical to the forest products industry. Two Sides NA doesn’t just promote the importance of print and paper, it advocates for truth and clarity versus mis-messaged environmental claims and greenwashing. Today’s NA forest products industry continues to manage forests in an environmentally responsible way, and the facts that support this statement need to be widely shared both within and outside of the industry. Two Sides was created to tell this great sustainability story and to provide a forum for education, shared experience, and growth of consumer confidence in our products. That’s a mission I am proud to support.”
