Mitch Evans, Former VP of NAPL’s Advisory Group, Joins Graphic Arts Advisors
MOUNTAIN LAKES, NJ—April 21, 2015—Mitch Evans has joined Graphic Arts Advisors (GAA) as a director and member of GAA’s senior team.
"We are delighted to have Mitch join GAA," said Mark Hahn, GAA founder and managing director. "Mitch’s extensive experience as a highly respected industry consultant serving owners and shareholders of printing companies is a significant and important addition to our team."
Evans has over 35 years of experience in the print and graphic communications industry, during which time he has worked with hundreds of clients and was involved in more than 60 successful print industry M&A transactions. Evans has the unique experience of having begun his career as a consultant before he successfully owned and managed his own printing company for 23 years, bringing to GAA’s clients the insights he has gained from his significant hands-on operational printing experience.
Evans began his career with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) as a management consultant in New York. He then grew his own printing company, Print Tech, into a multi-million company with six locations. Recognizing Print Tech as the benchmark for all NAQP members to emulate, NAQP selected it as one of four “models of excellence” in the industry. Prior to joining GAA, Mitch served as vice president of NAPL’s Business Advisory Group.
Evans currently facilitates three print peer groups, is a well-known speaker at industry events and also a co-author of "Taking Your Business to the Next Level." He authored "Owner's Guide to Outside Sales Compensation" and additionally published the latest "Financial Benchmarking," "Marketing & Sales" and "Digital & Wide Format Pricing" studies for NAQP/NAPL (now Epicomm). Evans' extensive experience in the print and graphic communications industry includes seven years on the board of NAQP, serving as president in 1994-95. He was named an honorary lifetime member of NAQP and a member of the graphic communications industry’s prestigious Walter E. Soderstrom Society. Evans holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and an M.S. in Management Science, both from Lehigh University.
"I have been fortunate to be able to visit hundreds of printing companies, most considered leaders in our industry, and have been deeply involved with our printing trade associations since 1987," noted Evans. "My prior consulting and financial background led me into advising printing CEOs who are focused on growth by acquisition, increasing their business value or transitioning their businesses. I look forward to working with the team of professionals at GAA."
Richard Mager, a GAA managing director, also added, "Mitch has assisted clients in the printing industry across the United States, and brings a keen understanding of the issues facing owner-operated companies." Currently living in Palm Beach, FL, Evans has experience working with entrepreneurs and family businesses, Mager continued, which extends GAA’s ability to serve clients in the highly fragmented printing and packaging industries.
