Press Highlights New Headquarters for Partner Printing

RIVERSIDE, CA—Colour Concepts, which does business as PartnerPrinting.com, is hoping to make a splash this month when it opens its new 124,000-square-foot headquarters here, with the centerpiece of the new digs being an eight-color Mitsubishi Diamond 3000TP sheetfed offset perfector press with dual coaters. The investment is aimed at bolstering the company's position as a full-service direct-to-trade wholesale printing organization.

PartnerPrinting.com services both the commercial and trade-only printing markets via its online business model. The Internet site’s proprietary Web-to-print technology allows customers to access more than $20 million worth of printing equipment direct from their computer. Clients’ custom printing needs are met through an off-line department.

The Mitsubishi Diamond 3000TP, known as the Tandem Perfector, will be able to print and coat both sides of the sheet in one pass. The double-coater version features tower coaters before and after the Translink unit, a three-cylinder transfer system that passes backside printed sheets to the front-side units without flipping the sheets. The company says use of aqueous and ultraviolet coatings will add value to gang-run commercial printing ordered online by trade customers, as well as on custom projects and medium to large periodical, magazine, brochure and catalog print runs.
