Mitsubishi Imaging Creates a Sustainable Buzz at GRAPH EXPO
RYE, NY—10/25/2010—Mitsubishi Imaging, a leader in polyester plate technology, presented its next generation of ecologically friendly CTP systems, the new Processless DigiPlate PDP-VL and Thermal DigiPlate System at the recent GRAPH EXPO ‘10 in Chicago.
Processless DigiPlate PDP-VL
Highlighting the Mitsubishi Imaging exhibit was the new Processless DigiPlate PDP-VL. The new PDP-VL plate will be available in polyester or paper base in sheet or roll format in various thicknesses. PDP-VL, compatible with most current violet CTP platesetters as well as Mitsubishi’s soon to be released PDP CTP series, combines chemistry-free plate production with the offset quality and affordability of Mitsubishi Imaging’s Silver DigiPlate. The new violet sensitive PDP-VL plates use a polymer cross-linking technology that requires no chemical processing to create the image area. This unique plate requires only water for rinsing and no pre-heating, no post-heating and no gumming.
