Modern Litho Marks 75th Anniversary with New High-performance Press
JEFFERSON CITY, MO—May 2, 2012—A trifecta of milestones will be celebrated with a special ceremony and open house at Modern Litho's facility based here. The company will mark its 75th anniversary this year with a total brand identity makeover and a major investment in a new high-performance Heidelberg press.
The printer has invited customers, partners, supporters, press and other members of the business community to join its management and employees for the Heidelberg press ribbon cutting, and other anniversary festivities, on May 24 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Launching the Next Chapter with a New Logo
"It takes commitment to quality, service and continual improvement for a company to last 75 years in this industry. We've come a long way in 75 years and built a flourishing client base, but our old logo did not reflect the energy or direction of our company today. When we looked at who we've become—a modern, stable partner—we didn't think this was communicated visually to new markets and customers," said Darrell Moore, president.
"The accomplishments of longevity, rebranding and investment in new technology work together to define what the company is today," added Greg Meeker, vice president of sales. "Taken together, these pieces support our position as a market leader and set us on a path for success into the future. This investment shows our commitment to our trade and to being the best partner we can be for our customers' marketing and communication needs. By being the best we can be, we bring the best to our customers."
New Press Opens New Doors
While many other print providers shy away from business expansion, Modern Litho is confidently pushing ahead to capture new markets and clients. The new multimillion-dollar Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 105 eight-color sheetfed offset press represents a strategic move that complements the existing operations. Featuring the latest press technologies, it will greatly improve efficiencies and accelerate job turnaround.
"Time to market is a big driver for our clients, and this is a game changer for us in that area," said Meeker.
The Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 105 represents the very latest in printing technology and will help Modern Litho serve clients better. The system offers the highest degree of automation in sheetfed offset printing, so customers benefit from quality control and maximum uptime for their printing jobs.
"Heidelberg has been a great partner, and we believe their technology is second to none. The Speedmaster XL 105 will help us meet even the most exacting of customer requirements because this press is in its own unique performance class. This translates into increased manufacturing efficiency, top quality and quicker turns for our client commitments," said Moore.
