Morgana Systems: Bookletmakers and PUR Binding at PRINT 13
Other bookletmaking systems on show from the range include the System 200e being fed by the AC510 feeder and the entry-level BM60 hand-fed machine for lower volume print shops and CRD’s.
Commenting on the launch of the System 2000S, Alan Oppenheim, North American Manager for Morgana, said: “The new System 2000S bookletmakers provide an extended range of performance variations from Morgana’s existing DocuMaster products. With output capabilities right through to 3,000 booklets per hour, and the ability to create publications of up to 120 pages, this range will satisfy the needs of a wide range of American print shops. The products can incorporate side-stitching, creasing, and a number of combinations of sheet and pre-printed sheets collation.”
PUR for Short-run
PUR is the strongest, most flexible binding adhesive available, offering several additional advantages over other binding adhesives. When inks, coatings or digital print toners are present in the spine area these can often compromise the strength of a typical hot-melt perfect binding. PUR is resistant to this and will form a super-strong bond with all weights and finishes of paper stocks. In addition PUR works well with synthetic and recycled-content stocks.
