Motheral Breaks Ground on New Facility
FORT WORTH, TX—Motheral Printing recently broke ground on a new 150,000-square-foot, two-building facility in CentrePort Business Park near Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
"We service a national client base. Being close to one of the world's most traveled airports puts us in a prime location to service clients' needs more efficiently," states David Motheral, COO.
The project consists of a 24,000-square-foot, single-story office building for Motheral's headquarters operations and a 126,000-square-foot printing plant. The new facility provides Motheral with the opportunity to maintain its Fort Worth roots and gain access to national business opportunities, according to Motheral.
"As our business continues to grow and evolve, it became apparent that we needed a larger facility," he says.
Motheral plans to move approximately 220 employees from its existing operations in Fort Worth to the new CentrePort facilities in September.
Special features of the new facility will include a new eight-color web press, a new eight-color sheetfed press, as well as a new perfect binder—all directly connected to Motheral's Creo digital prepress workflow. Announcement of vendor choices for the equipment will be made in the coming months.
In addition to the added capacity, Motheral will build a laboratory facility for client technical training within the new facility.
