The SPRINT 3000 gas screen printing conveyor dryer features a 72-inch dryer with a dual heat and dual belt system that can run simultaneously, or at different speeds and at different temperatures. By running only one belt, there is the potential for energy savings up to 40 percent, explains Joe Abreu, Director of Advertising and Marketing, M&R (Booths 531 and 621). Additionally, because garments can reach temperatures of 350 degrees, at the end of the device, an exhaust fan cools the garments by up to 100°F.
Shown for the first time, the HQ-1 automatic foiling system fits in-line with the Gauntlet press. Also making its debut, the Starlight ASO (Adjustable Spectrum Output) UV LED screen exposure unit features three independently adjustable nanometer ranges, high output UV LEDs and a high density of screen-exposure LEDs.
M&R is also showcasing additional technology at its booth, including the DS 2000 printhead that runs with the Victory 1 system. The DS 2000 enables complete flexibility in color, once white is laid down on the garment. Also on display, the PHOTON UV LED curing system boasts a faster curing time than previous systems, a reduction in energy consumption and an instant on/off capability that will only run when a substrate is loaded and ready. It will not bake or warp the substrate, or the belt, reducing the need for frequent replacements.
Attendees can also see the Eco- Tex Modular system, which can clean up to four screens at one time and comes in two sizes. The rinse, reclaim and wash system is completely modular and can be configured to meet the needs of the user.
The Novus ULTRA UV LED flatbed printer is being demonstrated this year at the Novus Imaging exhibit (Booth 1011), an M&R Company. The press can be configured as an ULTRA 1, 2 or 3, with a corresponding number of printheads, and is easily upgradable. Equipped with a patent pending auto masking vacuum table, manual masking is eliminated, saving the user time and money.
Making its debut this year, the Novus ULTRA 3200 is a 4-color, 126-inch-wide roll-to-roll industrial inkjet printer with advanced UV LED curing, full greyscale resolution and up to 1,200 dpi. Also making its show debut is the Novus Textura 1800 automatic dye sublimation transfer device. The 70-inch, 4-color press can print up to speeds of 1,500 sqft/hr. Kevin Currier, Business Development Manager, Digital Products at Novus Imaging, explains that the press us ideal for apparel and small signage and that it is manufactured to run continuously without operator intervention.
