VAUGHN, ONTARIO—06/23/08—Michael Mugavero’s 37-year career begins a new chapter today as vice president of sales for manroland Canada Inc., in addition to maintaining responsibilities for Eastern U.S. sales.
Mugavero will now be based out of the company’s Canadian headquarters. He will manage and direct sales for sheetfed and assist with sales on the web end of the business.
“There are a number of opportunities, including delivering market awareness of the ‘new’ manroland and demonstrating our culture of reliable partnerships and continued ground-breaking technology for the print industry,” Mugavero said. “manroland is a total resource company offering new business concepts with printservices and printcom that sets us apart and makes us your true partner in print.”
This comes from a person who began his graphic arts career with mid-sized sheetfed commercial printer on a part-time basis in 1971 while attending Union College. Fifteen years later Mugavero became president of the same company. He switched to the manufacturing side of the business when he joined manroland in 1992, and has more than 13 years experience specifically serving customers in the Canadian market.
“Canadian printers have their own identity and manroland has a true appreciation of the market,” continued Mugavero. “These are exciting times at manroland and also for the print industry, especially with large format presses as a very viable option compared to traditional formats. While large format certainly is attractive, manroland offers a printing solution in every size and format.”
“Canadian customers know Michael and Michael knows Canadian customers,” said Vince Lapinski, manroland, Inc. CEO. “I have the utmost confidence in him and believe he is the right person at the right time to deliver our message to the Canadian print market.”
