Muller Martini Users Group Meeting to Co-locate with GRAPH EXPO
RESTON, VA—09/01/2010—The Muller Martini (MMA) Users Group has announced it will hold its users group meeting in Chicago this fall in conjunction with GRAPH EXPO 2010. The MMA Users Group meeting will take place on Saturday, October 2, the day before the opening of GRAPH EXPO, and Sunday, October 3. GRAPH EXPO 2010, the year's largest graphic communications exhibition and conference in the Americas, will take place October 3-6, 2010, in Chicago's McCormick Place. The MMA Users Group conference will be co-located with GRAPH EXPO 2010 in McCormick Place.
The MMA Users Group has been meeting for more than 20 years to allow postpress professionals in newspaper and print production to share their experiences with machines and technology and enjoy direct access to Muller Martini executives to learn about the latest equipment upgrades and add-ons. Meetings have typically attracted more than 100 participating members. This year's meeting will allow for similar networking and learning opportunities as in the past, and will cover such crucial topics as maximizing equipment use and efficiency, prolonging equipment life, and identifying the best newspaper and commercial packaging opportunities. Ample time has been set aside between sessions to allow for networking and meeting with vendors on the show floor.
"As Muller Martini converges its newspaper and commercial technology operations, bringing the Users Group meeting to GRAPH EXPO 2010 helps enhance our organization's business objectives while satisfying our members' best interests," observed Charlie Brown, President of the MMA Users Group and Packaging Manager of the Press-Register in Mobile, AL. "And, with GRAPH EXPO 2010 featuring such a large emphasis on the newspaper market, it made for a particularly appropriate venue for our users."
"We welcome the MMA Users Group Meeting to GRAPH EXPO 2010 and, through our comprehensive exhibition and conference offerings, look forward to supplementing their meeting with the most current business and technology information the graphic communications industry has to offer," said Ralph Nappi, President of the Graphic Arts Show Company. "Members of the MMA Users Group will especially benefit from the focus GRAPH EXPO 2010 is placing on the newspaper printing and publishing industry with the debut of our News Print Pavilion this year."
Recognized as the commercial printing, publishing, mailing and transactional exposition for the Americas, GRAPH EXPO 2010 themed, "The Next Generation of Print," has been designed to offer a customized show-going experience to a diverse spectrum of attendees.
The exhibition will offer the latest graphic communications technologies in live equipment demonstrations across the expansive show floor and education on the most in-demand products and profit-making opportunities. Attendees will find nine special interest sections on the show floor.
Along with the debuts of News Print-the newspaper pavilion and Digital Document Drive, a section devoted to needs of print pros who create, manage and deliver transactional documents, these include PackPrint, covering package printing; Future Print, featuring two of today's hottest technologies Printed Electronics and RFID; the Mailing & Fulfillment Center, the industry's largest mailing event anywhere in the Americas; the second annual GREENspace, a showcase on sustainability and eco-friendly products and services; the Prepress/Software-Design and Press/Finishing sections; and Education Main Street, for attendees seeking well-educated, talented industry newcomers to augment their company's workforce.
