CT Sir Speedy Franchise Goes Independent

BRANFORD, CT—The management of Sir Speedy Printing of Branford, CT, a 20-year-old company specializing in full-color printing, signage and marketing services, announced that they will shed the Sir Speedy brand effective this month.

According to Managing Director Al Canosa, the new name of the company will be Mosaic Printing, Signage and Marketing Services. The operation, location and employees of the company will remain the same.

"We realize that many franchise owners may think twice before striking out on their own in this uncertain economy, but for us, there has never been a better time," Canosa said. "We've accomplished all that we can within the Sir Speedy network, garnering top accolades for sales, service and innovation. We've had outstanding success these past two decades thanks to our loyal customers. Now we'll do that as an independent mid-sized business operating under our own name as Mosaic Printing, Signage and Marketing Services."

Canosa said he opened his Sir Speedy franchise in 1993 in Shelton, CT, before moving to Branford, CT, in January 2008. The company debuted as a quick printer and evolved over the years, adding new equipment, upgrading technology and embracing digital and marketing services. The firm now offers both digital and traditional offset printing and has expanded services to include signage and direct marketing services, Canosa noted.
