CTI Paper Launches Durilla Line of Printing Papers, Synthetics for Digital, Offset
SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. — May 11, 2016 — CTI Paper USA introduces Durilla, a comprehensive new line of premium durable printing papers and synthetics for digital and offset equipment. A striking new swatchbook and print demonstration is now available.
CTI Paper USA is one of North America’s largest suppliers of premium coated and uncoated printing papers and envelopes, including Kromekote, Glama Natural, Aspire Petallics and other well-known brands.
The new Durilla brand offers a broad selection of premium durable substrates — uncoated, coated matte, translucent and waterproof papers — together with a coated matte polyester.
Print applications are nearly limitless, and Durilla is a profitable, high-quality substitute for many laminated print jobs. All papers are Forest Stewardship Council certified and can be obtained from your local paper merchant or by contacting (800) 284-7273.
“Commercial, in-plant and specialty printers who have previewed Durilla are impressed with the value, quality and breadth of choice available under a single brand,” says CTI Paper USA co-owner and president John Kelly.
“Perhaps more importantly, Durilla truly delivers when it comes to performance on digital and offset presses, as well as in converting, finishing and demanding technical applications,” he continues.
Durilla’s durable papers feature a “paper-film-paper” construction in a variety of tear- and water- resistant surfaces and weights — a premium uncoated white, a translucent “Ice,” a matte-coated paper and a fully waterproof paper.
In addition, Durilla’s separate high-bright, matte-coated polyester offering is tear-, water-, abrasion- and chemical-resistant for applications requiring the ultimate in strength and print fidelity. It is available in three thicknesses and features a universal coating suitable for offset, flexo and digital toner equipment.
The papers are available in a variety of sizes including cut-size, digital and folio, while the synthetics are available in cut-size and digital. Durilla is also offered in custom sizes and calipers in both rolls and sheets at low order minimums.
The new swatchbook and print demonstration spotlight the brand’s icon, Durilla, in a detailed, high impact color illustration of the Silverback Mountain Gorilla of central Africa. The swatchbook provides paper samples, stocking information and printing and handling tips.
Menus, book covers, booklets, brochures, pocket folders, maps/guides, tags/labels, point-of-purchase displays, tickets, bags and premium packaging are among thousands of potential Durilla applications. Kelly said that businesses, governments and nonprofits of all sizes have print requirements that use or could benefit from premium durable papers and synthetics.
Durilla offers substrates for offset printing, flexo printing and digital, toner-based equipment from HP Indigo, Canon, Konica-Minolta, Xerox, Kodak, Ricoh and others.
To celebrate the launch of its newest brand, CTI Paper USA said it will donate 1% of Durilla sales to the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International. For more than 49 years, the Fossey Fund has directed money, human and scientific resources to the conservation and protection of gorillas and their habitats in Africa.
In addition to Durilla, CTI Paper USA brands include cast-coated Kromekote, translucent Glama Natural, printable kraft Glama Kraft, coated matte Tube and luxe metallic and pearlescent Aspire Petallics papers.
