New Wide-Format Inkjet Printer for Sandy Alexander
CLIFTON, NJ—High-end commercial graphics communications provider Sandy Alexander has acquired another Durst RHO UV inkjet production digital printer, a five meter-wide 500R for “soft” out-of-home media. With the purchase of its fourth Durst UV inkjet digital printer, the company looks to expand its presence in the $10 billion market sector.
“Our explosive growth in the wide- and grand-format business has been due to our industry leading color expertise," said Mike Graff, president and CEO of Sandy Alexander. "With the advanced color management workflow available with our printers, we can provide the highest color consistency and brand equity for our clients across a multitude of deliverables—from the smallest postcard to stadium wraps, all under one roof. And, in today’s marketplace, clients are demanding brand consistency on a global basis.”
The RHO 500R prints six-color, 600 dpi images on a wide variety of roll media at speeds up to 4,300 square feet/hour. It is also able to print three independent images from three separate job queues at the same time to achieve efficiency and handle a broader range of applications. The printer operates unattended, uses less ink than a comparable super-wide platform, and minimizes operational cost due to its high productivity and advanced workflow.
