SPC Expands Lettershop, Adds 100 Jobs
NILES, IL—Specialty Print Communications (SPC), a national, single-source-solution provider of direct mail, plans a significant expansion of its lettershop services here. The new facility will more than double its current size and employ 300 workers.
Demand has provided the impetus for growth since SPC made a strategic decision five years ago to bring lettershop capabilities in-house to provide customers with a more streamlined service. "(This) expansion is a direct response to our customers’ growing needs, and testament to our commitment to continuous improvement," said Adam LeFebvre, president of SPC. "We continue to be a valuable resource and reliable partner to national clients and direct marketing specialists."
The new, 150,000-square-foot plant is just around the corner from SPC’s current headquarters and main printing facility on Howard Street, which it will retain, along with its second printing plant in Benton Harbor, MI.
"Our move increases our print and direct mail capacity, improves our production flow, adds crucial local jobs,” explained Bill Mattran, senior vice president of new business development. "We are very excited about the efficiencies the new space will provide."
SPC has just completed its move into the new lettershop facility that features an array of new equipment, manufacturing redundancies, IT infrastructure updates, expanded rack storage and increased staffing.
